Commercial shoot today and I decided to shoot Skittles taste the rainbow I like how they turned out

I JUST took these so these are RAW. I’m not sure which i’m going to use for my assignment yet!

The other night I did a shoot at the Wasaga Beach McDonalds for a portrait assignment. I wanted to shoot in the lobby of the restaurant and so couldn’t start until 11 but it went well.

I didn’t use this image but I think its my favorite.

I want to say thanks to the McDonalds staff for putting up with me dragging lights in, sneaking behind the counter and borrowing props. So thank you guys!

Quite a while ago now I did a shoot at Bygone Days Heritage Village. It’s a great place to see and it was really cool to shoot too.

I used the Shot for an assignment but heres some stuff I didn’t use.

I have had this post written for a few days but its taken some time to gather the nerve to put this out into the internet. I don’t know why everyone else chose photography but here are 4 reasons why I did.

• The challenge- I find that anything that can go wrong will but I get to pull something together make it work and most importantly make it look good. Then I look at that picture and its like Wow I did that.
• To Remember- A picture brings back memories. Some are from trips and remind you of people and others remind you of the person who you bounced ideas off of or the people in you studio behind the scenes.
• I’m REALLY bad at drawing- I’m serious. I took art class for 3 years in high school and I didn’t really do bad but I think the teacher took pity on me. Nothing turned out the way it was in my head. With photography I can make it what I want before I click the button
• It tells a story-With one image, no words or explanations, you can tell an entire story. Well that’s the plan anyway. I want my images to tell a story and I hope that this year I get better at saying something with my camera.

I love to read and last year I came across The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and absolutely loved them. I was completely addicted and read them as fast as I could then found out that the movie comes out March 23. This was Exciting but when the posters were released I got really excited.

Everything about the posters I like especially, how young and innocent Rue (top Right) looks and how simple the posters are. For me it focuses on the characters that so many people have fallen in love with. I would like to play around and do something similar to these just for fun sometime soon.

With a movie as anticipated as this one and the publicity that these images have gotten I thought that the photographers name would be attached to them somewhere but I honestly spent most of last night trying to find them and couldn’t. Eventually I gave up and posted on yahoo answers and someone let me know its Murray Close. I had never heard of him before but his work on some other big name movies including 3 of the harry potter movies, X-men first class and Batman. It doesn’t look like he updates his website often but I know I plan on checking it just to see when he does.
